Andrea Richey used to be a legal recruiter in Hong Kong and before that worked for the Wall Street law firm Paul Weiss as their Asia regional business development manager. Then in 2015, after years in the corporate world, she decided that there had to be more to life than just work and that it was time to give back.
The thought motivated her to dedicate her time towards volunteering, which opened her eyes to the image of shark fishing and finning. She was blown away at the cruelty involved and the unsustainability of the killing of sharks, which made her want to educate herself on the issue and volunteered with the Hong Kong Shark Foundation (HKSF).
